1. Parquet assemblage.

The assemblage always starts with preparation of the basis. The basis shall be even, solid, water-proof, durable and able to endure the applied operational loads. The first stage of the floor construction preparation is the flowing of the cement-sand bed. The cement bed itself cannot be the basis for parquet flooring.

2. Parquet laying.

The parquet laid on the bed without the interim layer of veneer or particle board will earlier or later cause the fact that the parquet will be lying on the basis unfixed.

It also should be kept in mind that the bed humidity shall not exceed 3%. The evenness of the ready bed is verified by means of a 2m-long lath applied to the bed in random direction. Meanwhile the slack between the lath and bed surface (sag) shall not be more than 2 mm per 2 m of length.

The best basis for the parquet is the water-proof veneer. The veneer is laid in fragments (squares) with heat seams.

All surrounding surfaces (plaster, whitewash, coupler etc.) shall be previously dried since the excessive humidity in the room may cause cracking of joints or other damage.

3. Grinding and surfacing.

The parquet surfacing protects it from environmental impacts and makes the floor more attractive.

Below there is an example of basic technological principles of performance of the parquet flowing works for single-piece, artistic and palatial parquet as well as massive board:

  • basis leveling with leveling compositions;
  • technological break to allow drying of leveled basis until the humidity is 1,8%;
  • impregnation and application of water insulation materials on the floor basis;
  • application of glued ground on the basis;
  • laying of moisture-proof or waterproof veneer on the glue with additional fixing to the bed by means of rawplug anchors or special concrete nails;
  • technological break to allow complete glue polymerization;
  • veneer grinding for leveling of junctions;
  • parquet laying on the glue with additional fixing by means of special nails;
  • technological break to allow complete parquet glue polymerization;
  • step-by-step parquet grinding using the blades with various granularity (from rough to fine);
  • floor surfacing with interim layer drying;
  • installation of the pilot-operated check valve on the floor perimeter;
  • plinth assemblage.
