Recommendations on care parquet with oil-wax cover

Initial care. The parquet is laid only after the heating and ventilation systems are working and the required humidity level is attained.

General care. It is extremely important to protect parquet from mechanic cleaning in the course of cleaning and operation. It will suffice to apply special overlays onto the furniture lags as well as rugs for collection of dust and sand at entrance into the room.

Regular care. It is recommended to clean the floor with usual vacuum cleaner and add a special concentrate for regular care of wood to the water. It is not allowed to pour water onto the floor. Very dusty places can be processed only with chemicals combinable with protective decorative floor cover (the dish detergents and cleansers, paint diluting agents, alcohol, petrol etc. should not be used). The agent for finishing processing of floors with oil-wax cover (add it to the water during every fifth cleaning) will help you to preserve the silky matt glitter.

Intensive care. For removal of stains use the cleaning agent for wood covered with oil-wax. Apply it regularly to the places exposed to intensive influence.

Renewal. With the time passing by the heavily worn floors can easily be restored using the oil with solid wax. Oil with solid wax can be applied with a thin layer onto separate damaged parts of the floor only. Meanwhile the renewed parts will not be different from the rest of the surface.

Recommendations about care of parquet with varnish cover

Initial care. The first and the foremost condition of floor preservation is strict compliance with temperature and humidity regime. The parquet board covered with varnish doesn’t like excessive humidity and dryness.

General care. It is feasible to apply special felt overlays onto the legs of chairs, tables and armchairs. You also can use the rollers made of soft rubber or special transparent plastic rugs.                                                                            

Regular care. First of all, remove dust or mud with the vacuum cleaner. The current cleaning can be performed with a brash with soft bristle. Use special cleaning agents (some of them are manufactured in the form of concentrates and diluted with water and the others are manufactured in spray can and are ready for use).

Intensive care. From time to time you should apply protective cover. It can be either wax-containing polish or agents which conventionally can be called the analogues of heavily diluted varnishes. In case of loss of glitter and removal of stains the board can be processed with special refreshing agent. In case of local wear of the parquet board varnish layer use the spray varnish.

Renewal. The parquet is grinded and again covered with varnish every 15 to 20 years (the frequency depends on intensity of operation). You shouldn’t wait until the varnish is completely worn, for the naked parts of wood become darker and start decaying. The small defects can be cleaned with sandpaper, filled in and covered with varnish. However, the repaired parts will have a different color than the old parquet, so you’d rather renew the whole varnish cover.

Thorough care of the parquet will extend the cover life and in response it will gladden you with its amazing appearance.
